Breeze Technologies and Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG cooperate to digitalize emissions monitoring

Hamburg/Markranstädt (Leipzig), Germany. The Hamburg-based startup Breeze Technologies and the medium-sized business Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG from Markranstädter have announced their cooperation to develop the digital future of ambient emission monitoring. Customers of Födisch will be able to manage their measurement data through Breeze Technologies’ Environmental Intelligence Cloud, while Breeze will also be able to offer emission measurement technology from Födisch.

Breeze Technologies’ CEO Robert Heinecke explains: “We are very happy to win such as reputable partner as Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG from the established emissions monitoring sector. Cooperating with Födisch will enable us to provide our customers the best of both worlds: the digital solutions and lower cost sensors from Breeze Technologies as well as the globally used quality monitoring systems from Födisch. This will particularly help us to better serve more ambitious Dr. Födisch UMT AG, as a developer and manufacturer of measurement technologies, is starting a promising partnership with Breeze Technologies, a professional software provider. “Both partners hope that this will generate new impulses and long-term business success,” summarizes Dr. Holger Födisch (CEO Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG).

The contact between the two companies has been facilitated by the Leipzig SpinLab, an accelerator program that supports innovative startups. SpinLab CEO Dr. Eric Weber is happy about the partnership: “It is very important to us that strong medium-sized enterprises – especially from the Central German region – and creative startups collaborate and together achieve an even stronger position in international competition than they would be able to individually.”

According to the World Health Organization, air pollution is today’s largest environmental health threat. For effective planning and implementation of clean air actions, reliable ambient emission data are just as important as the means to analyze and evaluate them holistically. The partnership between the two companies sets new standards in the area of air pollution control and thus has the potential to sustainably improve air quality in cities.

Breeze Technologies is a technology leader for modern air quality sensors, data and analytics solutions. The company leverages the internet of things and artificial intelligence to help cities and businesses create better clean air action plans and a more liveable environment. Breeze Technologies was founded in 2015 and has been recognised as one of the most promising European startups by the European Parliament and the European Commission.
